Planed wooden crates as an interesting decor are used in the design quite often. Smooth closed wooden crates are made from pine wood. They are excellent for further painting with water-based emulsion and nitro paints, as well as painting with varnish.

Planed closed smooth wooden crates are often used to pack corporate and personal gifts, high-end alcohol, fruits or sweets. Smooth drawers are also commonly used for assembling drawer racks.

Planed boxes differ from planed ones. Sanded crates are treated with abrasive material, such as sanding paper, and planed decor crates are treated with sharp rotating blades that remove a thin layer of pile, making the surface smooth.
